Kirsty Lackie (b.1989) is a Glasgow based artist. She completed her BA (Hons) in Communication Design at The Glasgow School of Art in 2018, and since graduating has been developing her painting practice. Lackie has exhibited across the U.K. most recently at Boardroom Committee Room where she had her solo show TV Dinners (Glasgow, 2023). She was commissioned to make two large paintings for Beata Heuman’s new Hôtel de la Boétie (Paris, 2023) and a large painting for the restaurant Ziques (Glasgow, 2020/21). Her work is a bag of surrealist storytelling and absurdity, where undertones of irony and tragi-comedy flicker beneath a seemingly frivolous surface.
